Pass the Zalt shaker

Herbie's Zalt (It's not Salt)

The name Zalt is derived from Azalai which was a salt caravan route followed by the Tuareg traders in the Sahara, between Timbuktu & the Taoudenni salt mine.

Use Zalt instead of salt for a bright tangy flavour.  It puts life and tastiness into salt-free food.

It's a tangy, tasty condiment which contains no added salt, it's a perfect palate-pleaser for a low sodium diet.

Ingredients are paprika, amchur (mango), onion, black lime powder, bay leaves & ginger.

24mg sodium per 100gm.

Herbie's Zalt - 50g – Low Sodium Foods        $7.20 for 50gm packet.

Enjoy it on roast vegetables, homemade chips & wedges, added to a casserole, or pasta, sprinkled on chicken, it's so versatile it is amazing on nearly everything.

We hope it's one of your favourites too, but if you haven't tried it, you really need to, it adds so much flavour.
